In 1985, Drs. Brian Marder and Jonathan May established their Long Island practice, and in 1993 joined with Greenvale Animal Hospital to form the Roslyn-Greenvale Veterinary Group. Together with the Merrick Veterinary Group, our doctors care for pets across Long Island — the same trusted veterinarians, at both of our convenient locations.

Compassionate, Cornell-Trained Care

Dr. Brian Marder DVM · Founder

Dr. Marder co-founded the practice in 1985 and has been caring for Long Island's pets ever since. He received his B.S. in Animal Physiology from Cornell University in 1975, his M.A. in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Florida in 1976, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1980.

At home: One son, 1 cat, 3 Yorkshire Terriers, 2 tortoises & several birds

Dr. Jonathan E. May DVM · Founder

A co-founder of the practice, Dr. May received his B.S. in Biology from Cornell University in 1972, his M.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of San Francisco in 1974, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1980. He was honored as the 2008 Long Island Veterinarian of the Year by the Long Island Cat Fanciers Association.

Dr. Allison H. Villa DVM · Internal Medicine & Surgery

Dr. Villa received her B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University in 1997, her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Canton in 1999, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed her clinical training at North Carolina State University and an internship in Internal Medicine, Surgery and Emergency & Critical Care at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in 2005.
